You could always rely on Beavis and Butt-Head for a unique POV on something topical.

Butt-Head: “Uhh, huh-huh-huh. Erm, hey Beavis, check it out. I think this chick has three boobs”.

Beavis: “Hghmm-hghmm-hee. I am cornholio. I need TP forrr my bunghole! Do you have tipi-kaka?!”

You get the point. I was a big fan of the show as a 16-year-old complete with my Pedro moustache and student card (which, of course said I was born in ’85). Well, were the duo to have continued growing older, they’d be into their thirties now and looking increasingly like their hillbilly fathers that they met in the Nevada desert in Beavis and Butt-Head Do America.

“They’ll have the same intelligence,” MTV President Van Toffler says. “They’re the same boneheads sitting on the same couch, commenting on things through a really simple prism.”

“I was eating Fruit Loops and Cap’n Crunch out of the box and flipping through the dials when a Lady Gaga video came on,” he says. “That’s when he had the idea: Bring back Beavis and Butt-Head.””

An epiphany, Mr. President.

“They’ll [The Episodes] be self-contained segments with the boys in different situations like they used to be,” Toffler says. “But this time around, they’ll watch Jersey Shore, UFC matches and user-generated videos from YouTube, in addition to music videos.”

According to Rolling Stone Mike Judge, creator of King of the Hill and the fable that is Office Space, will be returning to produce and direct the series.

Toffler added that the show will be “much more viral this time” and will be promoted through social and information media platforms Facebook and Twitter.

The Simpsons is way beyond tired and Family Guy has become the full transformation of Stewie from evil-baby-genius to bizarrely-homoerotic-cry-baby. Is Beavis and Butt-Head better off left back in the nineties?
