A new record for the longest kiss in history has been set by a married Thai couple, Ekkachai and Laksana Tiranarat, who were one of 14 couples to take part in a “kissathon” in Pattaya, Thailand.
The couple began their embrace at 06:00 on Sunday morning and only unlocked lips just before dawn on Tuesday, setting an official time of 46 hours and 24 minutes.
In order to take part in the contest couples either had to be married or in serious long-term relationships.
They were allowed to eat, drink and use the toilet, provided they did not part lips. I just cannot figure out how eating or going to the bathroom is possible when you’re attached by the face to someone else.
The Guinness World Records still has to verify the results of the record attempt, but it appears that a truly great human feat has been achieved.
