There’s this billboard in Albert Road, Woodstock that smacks of brilliance the first time you read it. It’s a pro bono piece done in bold, black letters and probably took the creators all of 10 minutes to produce. It looks authentic. Like some passer by grabbed a cokie and scribbled what’s on their mind. Turns out hipsters did it.
Here’s the billboard in question.
Here are the people behind it.
Well, that’s disappointing. The billboard formed part of a wider Guten Tag art exhibition at the Woodstock Industrial Centre on January 14. To think they came up with that while sipping box wine into their twirly moustaches while obfuscating on their imagined place in society and its reflection in art. And then they went home to Higgovale.
Just takes the punch out, doesn’t it?
