In an incident that the Catholic Church will almost certainly deem a great work of faith, Italian New Years celebrator Darco Sangermano sneezed a miracle.

Darco and friends were enjoying a lovely evening of traditional Italian frivolity filled with laughter, champagne, fireworks and gunfire. When from the sky a .22 calibre bullet struck Darco on the side of his head, behind his right eye and lodged in his nostril.

Bleeding profusely, he was rushed to hospital.

But while waiting for the doctor to arrive a great miracle took place. Darco sneezed and the bullet shot out of his nose (at near the velocity that it went in).

Doctors say that he’ll make a full recovery and needs only minor laser surgery to repair his damaged retina. Hallelujah!
