We reported earlier that the Cape Quarter Lifestyle Village website had been subject to a hack by a member of the XtremeRoot.net educational hacking site, who went by the name of Legacy123.
Legacy123’s hack has since been hacked, by someone using the cypher K141.
K141 left a fairly hostile message for Legacy123 and another member of the XtremeRoot.net forum, Nox on the face of the re-hacked site, calling them “whores” who “can’t secure their shit”.
K141 also sent the following mail to 2oceansvibe via a proxy messenger.
Re: The cape quarter site becoming hacked (but not compromised), giving the hacker Legacy123 recognition seems to have gotten to his head. After signing up at the hacking forum plastered over the hacked websites fake page, I realised he and some others were boasting about their ‘work’. So I thought I’d take control myself. All files on the website remain intact and safe, with the kid’s access to the website terminated.
This is a perfect example of modern day ‘hacker’ kids that think they can go around the internet doing as they please. The whole website of wannabe hackers believe they possess more than an inkling of skill – which saddens me and some of my contacts to say the least.
I just thought you’d appreciate the update. A hacker starting an anti-hacker movement. (or at least, an anti incompetent-hacker movement).
