Rarely has a Friday been so laden with goodies and elements of weekend happiness.

We’re talking models, Corona Beer, and of course, while we’re at it, Mini. The Mini Countryman, to be exact, but more of that in a moment.

Elle Fresh Faces winner, Alexandra Robertshaw of Johannesburg is the recently crowned winner of the Elle Fresh Faces model search competition, and that achievement sees this lucky lass walk off with more than R45 000 worth in prizes, including a two year contract with Boss Models. Not shabby, eh?

And while we’re talking about things that make people happy, it wouldn’t be amiss to mention Corona Beer, which may or may not have just become the official beer of 2oceansvibe (here’s a hint: it has). We’ll be quietly pulling on a few of those ice cold bad boys this weekend.

And last, but in no way the least, the kind folks from Mini trotted into the studio this morning to chat about the new Mini Countryman, pictured above. We should probably mention at this point that the Countryman is manufactured with inbuilt internet radio. You see how this whole thing works? this whole “future trends in technology” thing? We’re pretty pleased about that.

And please contain your envy, it looks like the Mini folks have accidentally left behind a Countryman at the studio, and Rotherham appears to be in possession of the keys.

Shame. I suppose we ought to be on the lookout for a review then.
