Another Candid KP Tweet

I love Twitter. You know why? Because some sportsmen and women speak their minds instead of regurgitating cliche's from the "Sportsmen and Women's Book of Hackneyed Ways to Respond to Interviews". KP once referred to the ECB as a bunch of muppets in a tweet. Now he is having a go at the Adelaide groundsmen ahead of Friday's second Ashes test.

Kevin Pietersen makes for great reading. He is so forthright about how he feels that there is certainly no BS when it comes to his tweets. He never rambles on about RT sponsors and charities (while I completely understand the reasons for doing so).

This morning I noticed that he had “tweeted his mind” about some less-than-favourable conditions at the Adelaide Oval, where the second Ashes test is set to begin on Friday.

The Maritzburg College maverick was unhappy that the nets were uncovered for a period during afternoon showers on Wednesday and vented his frustration on his Twitter account.

I must say that I admire KP’s honesty, even if at times he is looking for attention. In the same way I enjoyed Herschelle’s book, a candid sportsman or woman who uses the tools available to them to speak their mind, should be lauded.

If only the Adelaide groundsmen had a Twitter account there might have been some added banter ahead of Friday.
