Poor Israeli military. You’re like that lonely guy, going through a pretty girl’s photos to see if she really does have a boyfriend, like she said that one time at that club. Except replace ‘boyfriend’ with ‘Orthodox Jewish background,’ which is a way better excuse anyway.
See, Israeli ladies can get out of that pesky mandatory military service part of their citizenship by claiming an Orthodox Jew background – which is naturally attractive for people who don’t like to be in the military while the military is involved in shooting people and being shot at. So attractive, in fact, that the Israeli military says that over 1,000 women who claimed Jewish Orthodoxy were proven to be lying, thanks to Facebook stalking.
Says the BBC:
The site revealed information about the women’s habits and social lives which showed they were lying.
A senior officer said they had found examples of young women who had declared themselves exempt posting photographs of themselves on Facebook in immodest clothing, or eating in non-kosher restaurants.
Others were caught by responding to party invitations on Friday nights – the Jewish Sabbath.
That’s what you get for adding the Israeli Military as a friend.
