A new study has revealed that the reason you have sex can affect your satisfaction level. Who would have thought that it’s not really satisfying to have sex for money? But what is quite shocking is a few of the other revelations, things you thought only woman worried about.

The study asked 544 college-aged men and women, most of them heterosexual, to take surveys on their sexual motivations and satisfaction. And it turns out that the most satisfying sex is enjoyed for the sake of love and commitment. And just to let you in on something, satisfying sex correlated more strongly to love and commitment in men than in women. Gosh, you’re like, so needy.

Another good reason to have sex is to express something to your partner, like gratitude or an apology. No wonder make-up sex is so awesome! Although, this should not give you reason to commit relationship foibles for the express purpose of having ‘apology sex’ later.

Another reason you should not have sex for is doing it to raise your self esteem. That is of course unless you are Russell Brand.

Also, you might want to rethink prostitution. Apparently sex is no good if it’s done to get “goods, favours or other resources”.

And never have sex for a “new and exciting experience”. Gosh there are so many other ways to do that, just ask your drug dealer.Awkward teenagers everywhere, put your hands up.
