US GQ Editor Defends Sexy Glee Photoshoot

This is hysterical. The US 'Parents Television Council" (God help us all) has slammed the latest US GQ Magazine for publishing pictures which "border on pedophilia." And I assure you it's not to do with the cover! The gaggle of bored ultra-conservatives were referring to a photo shoot the legendary magazine did with the cast of Glee, a high-school-musical type series that is probably also showing on local screens (I wouldn't know - but can confirm it is on Apple TV). Follow the link for more on the story + all the pics..

People seem to have a mild case of amnesia, over there at the Parents Television Council – was Britney Spears’ smash hit video Hit Me Baby One More Time not identical to this very shoot? What with the girls showing a bit too much under their school uniforms? Shame – they really are very bored.

Naturally, the editor of GQ Magazine released a statement, punishing them: “The Parents Television Council must not be watching much TV these days and should learn to divide reality from fantasy,” says Jim Nelson, editor-in-chief of GQ. “As often happens in Hollywood, these ‘kids’ are in their twenties. Cory Montieth’s almost 30! I think they’re old enough to do what they want.”

Nicely done.

Thank God I kept my clothes on for the October and November shoots we did in the local GQ! I must say, I was tempted to put on my old school uniform and show a bit of bum. Maybe next time..

What do you think – are these pics over the top? I think they’re just FINE! Good job, GQ!
