Ace Ventura was groundbreaking, to say the least. The movie as a concept was mind-blowing, but moreso was the formal introduction of Jim Carrey to the world. There were too many great moments to talk about in one article (“like a glove” and “captains log” come to mind), so for now let’s ust enjoy this famous snippet.
Beautiful.
The plunger on the face did it for me. And the toothpaste squeezing exercise? It’s too stunning. We had a repeat of that in the pepper scene from Dumb & Dumber (don’t click that if it’s rude to laugh out loud where you are right now).
