2oceansvibe has long had a special relationship with Kommetjie and the people that dwell therein. Shit, the main reason why we have a surf report on 2oceansvibe Radio is to look after the Kom Skom and the 2oceansvibe Characters that surf that place ‘stukkend.’ And that’s why we’re urging you to show your support for the ‘Save Kommetjie’ campaign. And it’s very easy to show your support – just show up at one of the biggest, genuinely coolest parties you can ever imagine. Check it out:
Keep 783 development free or the Save Kommetjie party – what ever you want to call it.
We all know why we love Kommetjie, and none of these reasons are linked to the proposed new developments!
The sad fact is that developers have ways of getting their ways, so we need to do everything in our power to stop these developments.
A group of us,including those renowned for throwing the infamous Lighthouse parties are throwing a party on Saturday 23 October at Fishermans where ALL proceeds will go to the KRRA, so that they can hire environmental consultants, lawyers etc to build on our case to keep 783 development free.
The event will start early at 5pm, there will be a market, kids entertainment, beer and wine tastings and we invite all families to join us at Fishermans – there will be food deals etc.
Tight Lucy then kick off the evening followed by DJ’s Daryn and Andre will set the scene for a rocking party with a cause!
R50 gets you in (no charge for supervised kids coming for dinner). Any further donations over and above the entrance fee will be appreciated.
Spread the word, all welcome – let’s make a difference…
I’m in. Who wouldn’t be?
