Parents, worry no more about your ability to get in the good side of your little tyke. Song Studio have a personalised album for your little kid, with eight songs per album. No, it’s not personalised with glitter and starfish, but with your kids actual name. Even if it is Jacobus Stefanus Herbst (love ya, pops-in-law).

Here’s a little helpful info from the Song Studio Facebook fan page:

The songs are sung directly to them and encourage them to sing along and participate. There are activity songs, songs about the zoo, the circus, and even songs encouraging them to become environmentally aware, and the importance of using sun protection.

So, there’s nothing about striking your spouse, embittering your children, alienating your extended family, and so forth, as would be found on Eminem’s albums.

They’ve got a bit of an environmentally-conscious music production vibe going on, so don;t expect a package in the post. Oh no. Click the name, buy the album, download the tracks, and burn them to disk, slap them on your iPod, or what have you.

If your kid has a “contemporary” name (don’t feel bad, I have lots of Afrikaans friends), and it can’t be found on the list, submit it and wait for the Song Studio chaps to give you the go ahead.

But be warned, you’ll have to keep up this level of awesome from now on. No more tubs of play-dough or inanimate soft toys, mkay?
