Google Street View – Finding Penguins And Corpses

The Great Tripod on a Prius has made it's way to Brazil, not long after wizzing by 2ov's HQ in the Cape Quarter, I'll have you know. But, as inevitable as portraits of maniacal bergies on the Cape Town records of Google Street view, corpses have begun popping up at an alarming rate as the Street View car chugs through Brazil, and specifically, Rio de Janeiro.

The offending images are removed as they occur. Which is only fair. I mean, sure, Brazil’s murder problem isn’t going away any time soon, but bodies wouldn’t actually stay on the streets. Right? Right?

In other Street View-related news, Google is now disturbing sensitive ecology by humping their Prius across the South Pole – because you should never be without Street View, especially not on your trip to Antarctica, where there are no streets.

If Google was forward thinking on this one, they’d just take shots of the ocean for both Poles. That way, they won’t have to update the service in 15 years.
