The Bush administration was universally panned. Today even the world’s darling, Barrack “Anyone-But-Bush” Obama’s detractors are becoming increasingly vocal. It is at this quagmire in their nation’s history that Americans are standing up and pleading, “Who will lead us?”, “Who will help us achieve a much smaller, fiscally responsible, decentralized federal government?”
Enter Robert John Burck. Or to anyone who as ever spent any amount of time around New York’s Times Square, The Naked Cowboy.
Burck is no stranger to politics. He has a bachelor’s degree in political science at the University of Cincinnati and challenged Mayor Bloomberg in last year’s New York mayoral elections.
In a statement announcing his intent to run for the Oval Office, Burck said:
“America needs a president who believes in America. America needs a president who will stand up for America and protect its language, its borders, and most importantly, its culture.”
Sadly, as much as I went into this article with the agenda to ridicule a guitarist, whose claim to fame is wandering the streets in cowboy boots and not much else; as much as I wanted to mock a man who thinks America has its own language and who has aspirations of becoming the president of the “world’s most powerful nation”, it’s become apparent that he might just be the best man for the job. The Naked Cowboy is going all the way, people. You read it here first.
