Tape: Doesn’t help
Die Pompmasjien ry nog weer!
Steve Hofmeyr, a South African “music artist” best known for extreme fertility singing Neil Diamond covers and accusing South Africans of lacking originality in the same breath, has proffered his cutting insight on yet another weighty topic.
Commenting on the recent furore surrounding the African National Congress’s move towards a national media tribunal, Hofmeyr said that he didn’t want to generalise, but insisted that the media “goes too far”.
He continued:
The fact that the media doesn’t answer to anyone is the epitome of fascism
With the above indication that Hofmeyr has not yet come to grips with the fullest meaning of the word “generalise”, it was perhaps not much of a surprise for those present to learn that Hofmeyr intends to enter the political arena, “but only once the Afrikaner has woken up from his sleep”.
Whether or not Hofmeyr enters the political arena with contraceptive protection or not is a matter of personal preference, but as torch bearers of media fascism, we’d like to encourage Steve to wear a condom. We do however fully condone Hofmeyr’s decision to wait for the Afrikaner Political Arena to regain consciousness before engaging with it in coitus, protected or not.
