The number of small but pleasing World Cup software add-ons is growing by the day.

Remember the little Google Maps vuvuzela man? Cool stuff like that.

Of course they’re trivial gimmicks, but they’re official tips of the cap to our lovely country, so it gives me great pleasure to present YouTube‘s World Cup gimmick offering.

OK, so here’s how this works.

See the little soccer ball icon? Click on the pic of the bunny, or click here. You’ll find yourself at the mesmeric bunny staring video. Click that little soccer ball icon…

WHAM! Vuvuzelas played on loop! Pretty cool, no? It’s the same deal on all the YouTube vids, although I’m not sure whether that’s browser-dependent or not.

For those of you who are struggling to get behind this, chant the following to yourself: “Vuvuzela’s are just like jack russels. They have ugly charm.”
