Mario’s, a popular Italian restaurant on Main Road in Green Point is on fire, and not in the positive, figurative kind of way.
This from News24:
“A customer told me that smoke is pouring out of the kitchen, which sounds like it’s bad news,” said Nicholas Esposito of the nearby Giovanni’s Deli World.
Cape Town’s chief fire officer, Ian Schnetler, told News24 that four vehicles are on the scene.
“There was a fire in the kitchen, but the fire is now under control.”
So there you have it. Italian kitchens are pretty scorching. Italian football, not really.
Last night I did a small jump of glee when Paraguay scored first.
“Holy crap!”, I thought. “Italy has to actually score more than one goal to win this game!” I sat back, and waited for the exciting, attacking flair.
Was I naive? Maybe.
