I get pretty excited when my crew at Sunglass Hut tell me they have kept me a pair of 18-carat gold limited “gold edition” Dolce & Gabbana shades. I get even more excited when they tell me they kept me the only pair available in the country at the moment..
That’s when I asked them the simple question, “Are those the ones I saw Brad Pitt wearing?”
“Yes,” was the magic answer.
My body tingled as I googled my head off, trying to find the image I remember of BP.
Aah… there it is.
Brad Pitt – rocking the Dolce & Gabbana “Gold Editions”
A lot of people don’t realise what shades Brad is wearing, but it was quite some time ago that I realised the secret of Brad’s “hotness” that women go so crazy about; it’s his choice in shades. This latest pair being no exception.
Please enjoy this vibe:
Dolce&Gabbana Gold Edition Project
Dolce&Gabbana presents Gold Edition, an exclusive line of sunglasses in a limited edition where elegant glamorous style meets the luxury of the finest most sophisticated materials.
Key elements of this line are extreme attention to details and finishes, the use of gold and latest generation lenses.
Details
Sun lenses in polarised glass. A mix of different materials for the temples creates a unique effect that is further enhanced by the Dolce&Gabbana logo engraved in the same colour. The DG monogram stands out on a miniscule metal plaque on the temple ends.Distinguishing features
A certificate of authenticity comes with each pair of glasses attesting to the originality, design and quality and the use of 18-carat gold.Packaging
Each pair of glasses is presented in its own beautiful little jewellery box featuring a plaque with the words “Dolce&Gabbana Gold Edition” and containing two tiny side drawers to hold the cleaning cloth and certificate of authenticity. These details make the packaging exclusive, turning it into a multi-function luxury accessory. There is a semi-rigid glasses case inside the box in black leather, decorated with a tiny plaque and logo, perfect for keeping your glasses with you at all times.
I’m not entirely sure how much these puppies cost, but luckily that is irrelevant, because owning these is a necessity, not a decision that you have to make.
