Look, make no mistake, it’s a lot of money! It works out to R2 billion. And, whilst you and I are quite ready for such a moment (what with our prepared lottery-win shopping lists and all), this fellow is kicking off with a trip for his kids to Disneyland. Aaah, that’s so sweet!
Check out this story about the man who won that Powerball Lottery I told you to buy tickets for.
Disneyland, here we come!
Yawn..
Gap-toothed accounts clerk Chris Shaw can finally afford to go to the dentist – after scooping a £178million ($258 Million = around R2 billion) US lottery jackpot.
Chris, 29, had just $29 (£20) in his account and a stack of bills to pay when he hit the jackpot with a ticket he bought from the convenience store where he works in Marshall, Missouri.
And he says one of the first things he will do is fix his smile as his front teeth are currently missing.
Chris, who has a 10-year-old son and seven- and five-year-old daughters by two different women, said: “That amount to me is like a fairy tale. I’m just a regular guy working paycheck to paycheck – well, not any more. It’s gonna be great to be able to see my kids and do stuff for them I couldn’t do.”
The first luxury he has decided on is a trip to Disneyland with his children.
The $258million jackpot is the 10th-biggest Powerball jackpot in lottery history.
I think it’s really cool that Chris is taking his kids to Disneland and all, but I think he is missing the point. ie. The Gulfstream 550, which is all I would need to get from Cape Town to Provence.
Maybe use this to get to Disneyland, Chris?
You see, with a range of 12,501km, I wouldn’t have to stop for refueling between Cape Town and Menerbes. These are the kind of details I need to know about.
That, and the exact leather we will be using in the cabin.
We can definitely look at that option
And let me tell you one thing right now for free, if you thought new car smell was good, just you WAIT until your nose catches a whiff of new jet smell! It simply doesn’t get much better. And a lottery win is all you need to enjoy it. And if the new plane smell doesn’t bother you, then you can snap up this one for only $37million second hand!
I see tomorrow’s MegaMillions lottery is on $191 million. Shame, that’s only R1.5 billion. Best you go and get a ticket. I did – in fact I bought five. I buy five every week.
I beg your pardon – you say you don’t buy? Why? Because you feel that you won’t win?
Good luck with that attitude..
