20 days ago we got hold of a group shot of a number of South Africa’s top comedian (here) and we asked you if anyone knew what it was about. The comments under the article identified names of comedians in the picture, including Barry Hilton, Nik Rabinowitz, Marc Lottering, John Vlismas, Loyiso Gola, Mark Banks, Trevor Noah and Kagiso Lediga. A pretty serious list of heavy weight comedians – together in the same room at the same time – surely that’s a first?

Further comments under the article included some pretty mind-blowing information, to do with the group (called “Bafunny Bafunny”) going on tour and even performing at London’s Royal Albert Hall!

I did some snooping around and they do have a website, although it isn’t active yet and just has a countdown clock, which looks like the official launch is only tomorrow.

That’s why I must thank Cliff H for leaking us the code for the following video, which is clearly only meant to be coming out tomorrow!

I like what they’ve done – using official touring suits and putting together a movie trailer type arrangement, featuring the various comics chatting to press and chirping each other in the process!
