I was always amazed that the band LIVE had a song which made use of the Xhosa dialect. But, in hindsight, it’s not that amazing. After all it did appear on their album Throwing Copper which came out in 1994 – the same year Nelson Mandela became president. So it was probably a tribute to him. “ixesha” is Xhosa for “time” so they were obviously indicating that it is about time that he became president. So much symbolism…
Then they added the lightning for general imagery – which is fair enough.
