Alec Baldwin Gives His Thoughts On Hosting The Oscars – “A television show like the Oscars is a strange bird. It’s not like SNL or Letterman, where performers come out and do their thing and every one goes home. With awards at stake, awards that might actually change the course of the winners’ careers, the proceedings possess an unavoidable and unique tension that does not exist elsewhere.” [huffers]
The House With The Moving Walls – This house was built near the Polish capital Warsaw. What makes the house in these photos so unusual is that it has moving walls in an attempt to make it as safe as possible. You can’t get inside before the front gates are closed after you enter into the front yard. Afterwards the house opens itself. And it looks not the bad after all. [damncoolpics]

Alessandra Ambrosio Stretches In A Bikini – As the world focuses its attention on Sunday night’s Academy Awards, it’s comforting to know supermodels are still out there stretching and standing in the ocean. In a way, they’re almost like The Hurt Locker, but with less war-fighting and more making women self-conscious about their appearance so they’ll try to fit in Victoria’s Secret underwear. More Rain, More Red-heads For The Scots – Ever since Tacitus, the Roman historian, noted with awe the flame-headed natives of Caledonia, observers have wondered at the prevalence of ginger hair among the Scots. Rapper, Lil Wayne, Goes To Jail For A Year – Rap royalty Lil Wayne was given a superstar’s sendoff to jail this afternoon — mobbed by hundreds of reporters and cell-phone-waving fans, and serenaded by shouts of “Weezy! We love you!” With good behavior, the rapper will spend eight months in protective custody on Rikers Island for the .40-caliber Springfield Armory semi-automatic cops took from his pot-smoke-infused tour bus after a concert two years ago at the Beacon Theater. Kate Middleton Digs Through Dog’s Number Two – When Prince William bought Kate Middleton a pair of pearl earrings for her 28th birthday, he carefully tracked down the finest and most expensive pair he could find. Levi’s Brings Back The 507 – Exciting times in the world of fashion! One of the most popular pair of Levi’s men’s jeans is back on the shelves. After being discontinued some time ago, the advantages of the 507 have not been forgotten. They don’t taper, they aren’t skinny and they don’t flare as much as a bootleg – they are as straight as they come. Welcome back, 507’s! Now if we could just get the Polaroid camera back and Alex Jay behind the desk at Radio 5, we’ll be A for Away! [levi507]
