So some of you are probably aware of the vibe that Minki van der Westhuizen has been throwing around town – that she wants to be a 2oceansvibe Weather Girl. It started a few months back if I remember correctly. I was getting messages passed on by friends and friends of friends.

“Is it possible?”

“Would you want her on the show?”

” She would LOVE to be on!”

“Do you see her as a 2oceansvibe Weather Girl?”

And so it went on. I had never thought about it, to be quite frank – until my Twitter box started becoming littered with these “hints,” direct from Minki.

Wow, quite a vibe, I thought to myself.

I wasn’t exactly sure how to handle it, as being pressurised into doing things of that nature doesn’t work really well with me.

A number of 2oceansvibers tweeted Minki and told her to email me.

I can’t recall if she emailed or not – but that doesn’t matter – because Friday night saw a whole new level of attack from our girl.

“OH MY GOD, SETH!!!!!” came the screech from across the room at Cafe Peroni.

“How ARE you!!!” she squealed, very familiar and all that. You could have sworn we had bathed together as kids.

“HOW ABOUT A PHOTO!!?” she asked. Not that I had much option, as she had pre-arranged the photo crew to trail behind her until she had found me.

Only thing left to do now is put it to the floor.
