Yesterday I “tweeted” something about the magical road that transports you from the new Green Point circle (next to the stadium) directly to the Waterfront (the preferred back entry near the Radisson hotel). There is no easier route to get to the Waterfront. Even if I was driving into town from the N2, I would prefer taking the second right to the Green Point circle, rather than the first right into the main Waterfront entrance. In fact, the only reason I would use that main entrance would be to pick up the new R8 at Audi Centre, or to watch some salty sea dogs at the Royal Cape Yacht Club!
So anyway, I received a tweet from Cape Town 2010, who attached a far more superior pic of the road I was discussing. I was so impressed I thought I would give it to you right here, right now.
Check it out! Click pic to enlarge..
Pretty cool, hey?!
Also note at the very bottom you can see a bit of the new Green Point Promenade which I mentioned in yesterday’s Beach Cruiser Bicycle article! 4km of brand new running/cycling track right next to the stadium and my primary residence, the Cape Royale Hotel!
Which is exactly where I am right now, funnily enough, enjoying the Sky Bar pool..
