Some of you might have heard your friends moaning about their 2oceansvibe surfing experience – saying that the site is “down.” You’re not alone, inter-galactic superhero, John Smit was having the same problem. But now it’s all fixed and he is 2oceansvibing again.
Why? Because there is a settings problem occurring for people surfing on Telkom broadband line.
But it is EASILY FIXABLE!
In short – you need to change your PROXY from AUTO to MANUAL.
Sound too radical for you? Just get a geek friend to help you – or if you reckon you can handle, it will be in the connection settings under Internet Options on a PC.
On a Mac, just go to System Preferences >> Network >> Advanced >> Proxies and change from Auto to Manual and enter dsl-cache.saix.net and port 8080.
Then it should work in Safari.
But, if you’re using Firefox, remember the settings need to be changed like this WITHIN the Firefox software – ie. separately from your System Preferences settings.
Then you need to enter these details:
Can you handle that?
Feel free to write down liberation comments below if this worked for you or a friends.
Also feel free to explain what Telkom has done to cause this?
I want you inside me.
