There’s something very special about logging into News24.com and finding yourself confronted with the leading story shown below:
The “Penis Killers” were fired..
They say it in a way that suggests you should know about these characters. In a way that suggests everyone is talking, quite frankly, about the “Penis Killers.”
Can you imagine the blue-rinse brigade at Linda of London:
“Ruth, did you hear the latest update regarding the “Penis Killers?”
“No Agatha, I did not! Tell me, what are those little cock-mongers up to now?”
To fill you in (news24):
Durban – The two men accused of killing four people in an argument over the size of penises were dismissed from the police force in June, KwaZulu-Natal police said on Friday.
The Steven brothers, both former police inspectors, face four counts of murder.
On September 10 last year, Shawn Strydom, Nick Jansen van Rensburg, Rory Menzes and Bruce Edwards were killed during an argument at the Merseyside Pub in Umbilo in Durban.
At the time of the shootings, police said the argument began when a patron of Indian descent made a comment about the size of a white patron’s genitals while both were at the pub’s urinals.
“On June 8 this year the two men were dismissed from the South African Police force after the murder of four men,” said Naicker.
Well, I don’t want to speak out of turn here, but I think dismissing the men after they killed people over an argument regarding cock-size, was the right thing to do. Hats off to whoever pushed that motion through.
But right now I’d like to focus on the front page lead-article headline subject content – “Penis Killer?”
Very interesting.
This, not a week after News24 quite happily, without any censoring whatsoever, published the words “cocksucker,” “fuck,” and “cunt” in the same article (right here).
Be careful where you go with this, guys – next thing Gareth Cliff will quote you during his hilarious list of fart and poo jokes in the morning.
