Those of you with iPhone 3G phones should be aware that it it high time you upgraded your software. The new software finally lets you copy and paste, forward sms’s, send MMS messages, as well letting you use flip the keyboard sideways when texting. There are loads of other things it fixes, but those ones were the main annoyances for me.
Ok, firstly you need to get the new software. Very easy. Plug your phone into your computer and load up iTunes. Click on the icon of your phone when it shows up in the iTunes left menu. Then click “update software” on the right of the screen.
It’s 250Mb so you might want to visit the loo at this stage. Or make a cup of coffee. Or roll a joint.
Go through the motions and instructions to install all the software on your phone. When you think it’s done then I think you need to unplug your phone and plug it in again to finish off the installation.
That will get everything working on your iphone, except for the MMS vibe.
To set up your MMS vibe on your (Vodacom & MTN) iPhone 3G (must have new operating system software – as above), I found the perfect instructions on my mate Marc Forrest’s website.
