It started yesterday when Martin L from Diletto emailed me mentioning something about 2oceansvibe being down.
I forwarded the email to Chris at iMod (my tech/seo guru and fellow SA Blog Award winner) and between us we couldn’t find anything wrong.
“Thanks, Martin” I replied – but everything looks fine now.
He wrote back confirming that it must have been a problem on his side and that everything was working after he gave it a full refresh.
“Thank God,” I said to Chirs, as I returned to the awesome day I was having. I was in Kommetjie, by the way, looking after The Surfer ‘s house for the weekend.
Absolutely fine
Kommetjie Beach
Looking back towards Hout Bay
Nothing wrong with that.
Unfortunately, that was when it all REALLY started. Sms’s, emails and twitter tweets and twats began pouring in. We checked again and there was no denying there was a problem.
By 11pm last night the site was still down and I went for the ostrich head-in-the-sand vibe and fell asleep.
I woke this morning and immediately checked my email on my iPhone. The one email I was looking for was there. Sent at 02h50 from Chris, with the subject “FIXED!”
At 02h50!! Are you KIDDING me!!?? My God, he’s like a miracle worker!
Thank God for that!
Thank God for Chris.
