Lucy, a loyal 2oceansvibe reader, sent in this wonderful account of some beggars she stumbled upon in Spain. But not just any beggars – beggars with a website! An incorrectly spelt website, no less!
The “Lazy Beggers”
www.lazybeggers.com
They label the various types of donations you can give them, including wine, weed, cocaine, whisky and more.
Check this out.
Hi Seth
I read your blog often and thought you’d enjoy this.
In 2007 my sister, her fiancé and myself were in Sevilla, Spain and we spotted these these 2 stinky old bergies and the’r dogs on the side of the road. The only difference with these guys is they have their own website https://www.lazybeggers.com/ and in front of them they have about 5 different bowls esch with a different cardboard sign – they say the following – vino, porro (dagga), cocaina, resaca (hangover) and otro vicios (other vices). These bastards charge you to take a pic but you have to admire their entrepreneurial spirit! Classic!Kindest regards,
Lucy
Check out their website – they’ve got pics of the various cities they hang in, as well as a blog and FAQ’s.
eg. this one – Do you know you don’t spell beggers [sic] like that?
Yes. The very kind friend that got us the domain name was in somewhat of a state of alchohol-induced dyslexia at the time and we couldn’t afford another domain-name to spell it right.
Excellent!
[thanks lucy]
