Covers have really taken off since Britney’s covered I love Rock ‘n Roll. The last George Michael cover that I recall was Limp Bizkit’s rendition of Faith. That was a pretty hard version and I thought it interesting that this latest cover of a George Michael song has been performed by a hard rock band. None other than our very own, Seether.
For those of you that didn’t know (Wikipedia) : Seether is a South African post-grunge band, formed in Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa in 1999. The band is currently signed to Wind-up Records. Originally named Saron Gas and signed to Musketeer Records in South Africa, they changed their name in 2002, coinciding with the release of their second album and major label debut, Disclaimer. To date they have sold 5 million albums worldwide. More here.
And now, please enjoy Careless Whisper by Seether.
