I’ve obviously misunderstood everything in my life thus far. Because – for me – the idea of there being a photo of me crying on the first day of school, plastered all over the front page of one of the countries biggest selling newspapers, does not appeal. I was ever so slightly disturbed when I spotted this on the cover of the Cape Times.
White kid, crying.
For the nation to see.
Now I don’t know if we should be pointing fingers, but this poor child is going to find himself crying even more on the second day when his pals mock him for crying on the front page of the paper. And they’ll have proof. Yes, I know that 6 year olds don’t read the paper, but they’ll probably be able to spot a picture of a classmate on the front page of a mass daily broadsheet. Seriously, I’ve seen this before – this kind of stuff will stay with him all the way through high school.
Didn’t a similar thing happen to Bundy as a kid?
Honestly, did his folks REALLY give the paper the go ahead to print that on the front page? That kid should dry his eyes and get a smart lawyer. William Booth could probably get a couple bar out of his folks.
The way I see it, that is the option left for the little cry-baby poofter.
