When you’re in the industry that I’m in, which I refer to as “God knows what,” you develop all sorts of systems. Systems that allow you to write articles to be published if and when you feel like it, as well as systems that store information to be used at a later stage.
For the latter part I use a thing called a “desktop,” which I litter with useless crap, including icons of pictures, emails and links to stories and information. Some of it I use and some of it I pop in the recycle bin at a later stage; when I’ve realised it was absolute rubbish and I thank the Lord I didn’t publish it, lest I be judged.
Then there are the pics and information which I check now and then and simply CANNOT erase. There is something about it that I feel will be useful some other time. But that time never comes. And I keep on opening the icon, week in and week out, REFUSING, EVERY TIME, to wipe it.
I cannot take it any more. I simply have to publish this photo of Anne Hathaway. I don’t have a story for it; it’s just that I can’t bring myself to wipe it.
Anne Hathaway
That feels better.
I’ve wiped the file now.
Thank you.
Not just for that. For everything.
I really mean that.
Sometimes I think you forget how much you mean to me.
You just….
you….you make me wanna..
