You know sometimes when someone says something and a few days later something very similar happens? Ja, well anyway, I call it a “premonition.” People then also sometimes spice it a bit and stretch the amazingness of the particular premonition by clutching onto what we in the industry refer to as “fuck all.” Like someone might say, “I don’t feel like going to the bank” and then 9 days later they read an article about a bank robbery in another city and then they say “Oh my God, I don’t believe it! I was going to go to the bank the other day!!! That could have been me!!!.”

Ja, whatever, don’t be a twat.

So anyway, a similar thing happened with me the other day and I don’t think I’m pushing it when I say there must be a connection.

I was sitting next to the pool at The Cape Grace hotel with Dirty Skirts frontman, Jezzabelle. We meet there once a month where we brainstorm new hits and articles, exchanging lyrics and information in return for cash and social status.

So I was running Jezzabelle through some dummy lyrics I was using for a new track I’m working on which is probably going to drop later this year. Now I only remembered this today and, when I heard on the news about the plane crash, it didn’t even cross my mind. But I was just looking through my notes from my last meeting at the Cape Grace hotel and couldn’t believe the dummy lyrics I have just found written on the page. Here they are:

A flock of geese flies in formation
Alone, through the great blue sky.
A plane will come, at the wrong direction
Everyone on board will more than likely die.

Die die, everyone should die
Where is our hero, I hear them cry

New York’s Hudson river, floweth beneath
A water runway, the airliner will meet
The plane will land, gently like a leaf
No one will die, the plane will not leak

How weird is that? Crazy hey?

Now I’ll leave it up to you to decide if that is close enough to what really happened when the plane crashed into New York’s Hudson river last week. Personally, I think I was spot on.
