Saw this outside Caprice the other day.
See what they did there?
Very clever. They maximised the fact that “meet” and “meat” sound the same. And, at the same time, promising customer satisfaction. You can’t do that with any word. They were very lucky to be in the meat industry. You couldn’t say “You need cheese – we’ll cheese your need.”
Or maybe they chose the pay-off line FIRST, THEN the line of work?
I can just imagine the MD of the company’s 8-year-old daughter coming into the room with the slogan written in crayon in the middle of her Barbie colouring in book. The father turned to the mother and said, “You know, Shanaaz, this little girl is a genius. I told you she was a genius.” They presented it to the rest of the company the next day. The employees were to scared to say anything bad about it, and it stuck.
And here it is, for our enjoyment.
We won’t even get into the Dollar sign being used at the end, instead of an “s.”
