Ok team, let’s do the right thing and get registered to vote. There are only 3 days left.
Check it out:
If you can’t make it this weekend for whatever reason, you can actually register any day this week before 9 November at the Cape Town Municipality Office, Paul Sauer Building, 1 Adderley St (next to the fountain). They’re open from 8-5.
If you are already registered, but your voting district has changed (because you’ve moved or something) call the IEC on 0800 11 8000 and ask them to tell you where to register. You will need your current address and ID no.
If you are already registered and just want to make sure you are on the voter’s roll, you can call the same number and they can confirm this for you. Alternatively if you just want to check whether you are registered you can sms them by sending your ID number to 32810 and you should get a response confirming whether you are registered to vote and in what district.
